Something New Coming

Hello all my faithful, little dragons! (That was weird...anyhow...)
2019 is just around the corner, and I've decided to be cheesy, fit the new year mood, and discuss something I've been thinking of lately. Basically, expanding this forum.

Although this blog has only existed since February (or was it August? Big time gap, I know...) I think Hollingsworth has become a little...erm, stagnant for me.

A few reasons why:

  • For one, I haven't written anything myself for nearly a year. I had a story I'd been working on for years. I probably overworked it; it felt bony and raw and I set it aside with every intention of coming back to it. Well...we all know how that went down. It's basically dead now, and I can't see myself coming back to it unless I revamp everything (which I do have some small, fugitive hopes of doing).

  • Secondly, but no less important, I don't want to only be a source of advice. I do love giving advice and editing other people's work, but there are so many other sources of writing advice out there with better advice than mine. Although I do have experience in this, I don't have any impressive credentials. By no means do I consider my previous articles 'invalid'. I just want to put out something more.

  • Third and last, I do not want to become a regurgitation of someone else's output. Without being specifically creative, I think lots of these posts tend to get...let's say...drawl. Stuff you've likely heard  before. I want to give ya'll something intriguing! Something more colorful and entertaining at least.

Does this mean the blog is changing?

Short answer: Yeah.

Long answer: Yeah. But not completely. I will still put out advice articles, tips and whatnot. But I want to expand the output.

What to expect?

-Occasional exerts from my own, sad work.

-Writing challenges and whatnot.

-Opportunities for free editing.

-Articles delving into the worlds and environments I'm currently developing.

So in conclusion, there's gonna be a lot more coming out effective almost immediately.

This means more interesting content for you all!

Anyway, that's all for today, folks! Just a little, boring update from yours truly.

Merry Christmas Eve Eve!
